EXC series
The goal of the EXC series, maintaining the philosophy of SUPRAVOX, high-efficiency full-range loudspeakers. With the EXC (Excitation Loudspeaker) series, from 165 to 380 mm in diameter, the audiophile can satisfy his passion. The Supravox team, still in intense research activity, offers four evolutions of these classic references equipped with a powerful electromagnet.

 

The 165-EXC mk2 has a mobile assembly and a response identical to the 165-2000. Its advantage remains the possibility of adjusting these parameters thanks to a powerful electromagnetic motor. Adaptable to many enclosures, it requires an external power supply.

This new version takes advantage of the new ventilated excitation motor, whose field has been optimized using FEA software, its high manufacturing quality is ensured by an automatic numerically controlled winder.

    At the heart of our factory on the outskirts of Paris, each voice coil is hand-wound with micrometric tension. We use ultra-light supports and high-purity conductors to minimize moving mass. It is this extreme lightness that gives our loudspeakers their legendary responsiveness and their ability to reveal the finest details.

    Each loudspeaker is a unique piece, assembled by craftsmen whose expertise has been passed down for decades. The precision of the centering and the tension of the suspensions are adjusted by touch, a sensitivity that no machine can replicate. This artisanal assembly guarantees perfect fluidity of movement and exceptional longevity.

  • Exponential Paper Cones

    Our cones are made from a proprietary recipe of long-fiber paper, manually processed to achieve an ideal balance of rigidity and damping. The exponential profile, pioneered by Supravox, ensures homogeneous sound diffusion. The result is an organic timbre and strikingly realistic vocal presence.

  • Magnetic Alchemy

    Beyond the simple magnet, we master energy. In our factory on the outskirts of Paris, we forge Alnico 5 motors and Field Coil systems capable of saturating the air gap with absolute precision. This controlled power offers lightning-fast dynamics and almost zero distortion, hallmarks of Supravox's high sensitivity.

  • Signal Purity

    Perfection often comes from subtraction. By designing full-range loudspeakers capable of covering most of the spectrum, we eliminate the need for crossover filters. The signal travels directly from your amplifier to the cone, preserving perfect phase coherence and a holographic soundstage of complete transparency.

    Each unit leaving our workshops undergoes a rigorous testing protocol: frequency analysis, impedance measurement, and tactile inspection of the excursion.
